DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 2007--Allied Motion Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: AMOT) announced that on August 2, 2007, the Board of Directors appointed S.R. (Rollie) Heath to serve as a member of the Company's board of directors. Mr. Heath is a recognized civic and business leader in Colorado and a founding partner of NorthStone Group, a company that advises and educates boards of directors and executive teams on leadership development and decision making. He spent seventeen years in senior management with Johns Manville Corporation, a leading manufacturer of building insulation, commercial roofing, roof insulation and specialty products for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including as president of its International Corporation and its Building Materials Corporation. He later became the chairman, CEO and a co-founder of Ponderosa Industries, a precision metal parts manufacturing company. He will serve as a director of Allied Motion until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until a successor shall have been elected and qualified. Mr. Heath is filling the board position vacated by Mr. Eugene E. Prince who retired May 3, 2007.
